I have a 88 lincoln that has 220,000 miles on the engine an the tranny went out a couple yrs ago. more like 5 yrs ago i start it once ina while an i found another tranny to go in it but cant find any help to put it in cause im on a limited budjet an ive got offers from ppl that want to buy it but i dont want to sell it cause ive put so much into it an really dont want to get rid of it, is that bad that i dont want to sell it of get rid of it?

You got yourself a set of chrome wheels, put 'em on the car --
and you can't drive it

Put your $$ into getting it moving instead. Ask your local mechanic how much to swap those transmissions -- bet it's cheaper than those upgrades.

I already know how much it will cost close to 1500 to swap them so im trin to get it done cheaper an all an i bought the chrome rims long before the tranny went out.
