98 3.2 dohc, want engine swap

I have a 98 amigo, 3.2 dohc, 5 spd tranny. What GM engines will bolt up to my tranny, and what other problems will I encounter to do a complete engine swap, and still be able to get smogged in Calif ??

None that I'm aware of for the 5spd on 1998+ . RWD GM 3.1's will bolt up to the 4L30E AT equipped older rodeos, but you still have to contend with MAJOR mods to exhaust, electrical, cooling system, etc..etc... $$$$ Unfortunately there is no cheap or easy way out of a cratered 3.2L . A used or rebuilt 1998-2004 3.2/3.5 is the cheaper route.

G/luck
