do 4x4/2wd front ends interchange??

I have a '94 2500 2wd that needs the front end overhauled, I ran into a friend that has a brand new, outer tie rod - outer tie rod, set up for a 2500 4x4. Can anyone tell me if his parts will fit my truck?

I don't think it will fit, but you can go to a parts store, and have them pull the part numbers for the rod ends for both trucks, and see if the part numbers are the same. However, the 4x4's have a solid axle, so my guess would be that the parts are different.

Unhappy

What a shame, he was going to sell me the parts for $100.
