Reprograming Remote Entry Remotes

I have a '95 Mercury Cougar XR7 V8 with a dealer optional addon "Ford Security System." The car didn't have the remotes when i got it and i just recently got a couple remotes from slightly newer cars by a couple years difference. I need help on trying to reprogram these remotes i have to the system installed. The system installed has these functions: trunk release, unlock and lock, siren, starter kill, courtesy lamps, and shock sensor.

The mid 90's XR7's are great cars, but not very roomy for many mods such as superchargers and true dual exhaust unless the duals are customized (like mine) =) I put a 310HP 5.4L crate engine. just swaped the oil pan and put the old intake on the new engine. Added a chip upgrade and the exhaust she now has about 340HP (341HP on dyno to be exact) she looks very factory except the shiney engine and sound

Re: Reprograming Remote Entry Remotes

These instructions will work on Thunderbird / Cougar models, 93 - 97:

Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located in LR quarter panel area. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
