She lost alot of coolent , like when it empty. pop the cap ( the one of top of thermerstat ),refill, then let it idle for a while, check the cap , no more collent

Re: head gasket ??
well one way to check if the head gasket is blown is check the oil if its orangy colored then yes you have a blow head gasket...oil is mixing w/ anti freeze...kinda sounds like a seal may be bad in your turbo...when i had a seal go bad it was only when i let off the gas i got smoke and once in a while at idle...check the band around the exhuast side of the turbo and look for oil...then check shaft play
Hope it helps Jesse

Re: head gasket ??
Like talont28 said... check the oil, if it looks kinda creamy somewhat like a frothy miracle whip- that means your coolant and oil is mixing together.
Noone here can really tell you if it is a headgasket problem or not unless you look into the things we ask you about.... Just because you put coolant in and rechecked it doesn't necessarily mean that it is leaking... it might just be low still....try to add more. Did you check the turbo for leaking? shaft play? If the seals inside the turbo are leaking internally than you will be sending either oil and/or coolant out the exhaust which would explain the smoke. Check all these things and then let us know what you found..... until then we can only speculate......
