i've got an 02 stratus with an cel code of p0456 (control system leak detected) very small leak. most of the time u can cure this problem by replacing the gas cap but that did'nt work so now i'm wondering whats next. i've been told to check fuel level sensor or purge valve, but i'm not real familiar with this engine so i'm not sure if a purge valve or fuel sensor even exist! does any 1 have any suggestions????????

Re: code p0456 control system evap
that means that you have a leak in one of the hoses between the purge solenoid and the fuel sending unit assembly. There's nothing that you can really do about it, you change gas caps all you want, it still won't fix your problem. You'll have to go to the dealer or to a qualified shop that can properly test your evaporative emission system to see where the leak is exactly.
