most manuals either tell you to remove your upper intake manifold or to remove the cowl around the windshield. There are a few people who claim that they can change them without doing either, I however, do not think I could.

I have a Haynes manual. All it shows as far as plugs is the 3.0 Vulcan engine and it is on the front plugs. Doesn't show or give any tricks for the back. Just take your time and see if you can go from the top w/out taking too much stuff off. Or try going from the bottom, don't get burned on the exhaust. Luckily I don't have to do that yet. Good luck.

Re: Back 3 Spark Plugs in 24 Valve
I think most of the fellers over at the tauruscarclub.com message board remove the upper intake to get to the rear plugs. When the upper intake is removed it's also a great time to clean the crud off of the secondary intake plates. My '99 only has 52,000 miles on it. I'm going to wait until around 60K when I change out the plugs.
