NAPA Parts OK??
Over the years, I've trusted NAPA part quality. Now I need a harmonic balancer and they're about half the price of the Buick sites. Part is listed as being made by Balkamp (NAPA). Can't afford to have it come apart on me in the middle of nowhere. And usually I go with OEM for certain parts, but if I can save $100.
Any bad opinions on Balkamp parts? Thanks for the help. |

Re: NAPA Parts OK??
i would go oem for the balancer. we stock dorman balancers at my shop and i have seen a few fail but never a problem w/ the oem.. that isnt a job you want to do twice at home

that's for sure. thanks for the opinion. There are just certain parts I don't feel comfortable going non-oem for but I've had good luck with the axle assemblies that I've gotten from NAPA.

Re: NAPA Parts OK??
i heard dorman makes a majority of the aftermarket balancers and the other brands just rebox them w/ their own "private label".. when you have the dorman in 1 hand and the oem in the other you can see a major difference in quality..
