More Bad News! (56K = No)

Well, the motor torn apart revealed a nice problem. A couple exterior pics to cheer me back up.

Timing Belt vs. Cam Gear


Winner.......Cam Gear!!!

Engine Bay still looks ok but i got some more work to do since the motor has to come back out anyways.

Exterior is ok but it also needs some work. I have a few surprises for that.




This should be pretty free flowing!

wes...do you pay attention to anything that has to do with our Z cars? seized camshaft...

and thanks fellas...it shall be running very strongly next spring. i think i have decided on the Z1 GT525R's that i mentioned earlier.

1988 300zx turbo 5spd. 3" mandrel exhaust, filter, afco rad, e-fan, poly engine mounts, mbc at 8.5 psi, turboxs rfl-h bov, gutted plenum, etc.

blown turbo, under construction.. gt35 coming.

yeah its been time...im looking to make some kind of deal with them next week. so we will see...i doubt i will get anything.

this all could very possibly work out much better for me as it will allow me more time to upgrade more parts sooner. right now the plan is as follows..

the big expensive things, all of the other little things that also need to go along with these big things is on my list too but not as important or costly.

-running VG (either rebuild w/ wiseco's and ARP's or try it over again with a used motor)
-GT525R's
-Stillen Intercoolers
-615cc Nismo injectors
-Powertrix Super Street Coilovers
-ported stock manifolds or tubulars (depends on money after everything else has been purchased)


should be able to boost a little over 20psi on race gas and about 18-19 on 93 octane if i wanted to.

Sounds like you engine will be pretty sweet once everything is up and running

I just hope you have the skill to keep it all under control
