NEW 2004 Dash Design Suggestions

OK i have some extra cash coming tuesday and i feel like goin crazy with fiberglass so im gunna make a new dash cover for my 04, i was thinking about moving the insturment cluster to the center of the dash and flattening out the area where it was originally at and then painting it. i know it will be a pain in the ass but it may be pretty cool. or just making a fiber glass copy of original one. would anyone be interested in buying one of those designs if they were a direct bolt on with all parts needed? anyh suggestions? also does anyone know where to get aftermarket interior parts for a 04?

You would need to do something with the area where the original cluster was located. It would just look plain and goofy with a bare spot where the cluster was. Maybe a dvd screen or something but besides that it sounds like a good idea. Ive seen my share of things being fiberglassed in to be added such as screens and audio components but havnt seen the cluster relocated.

Re: NEW 2004 Dash Design Suggestions

i got the idea from a scion if i remember correctly, i would probably flatten it out and make a new front peice for the one part that covers the stereo and streaches to the left side, it will be a bitch and a half to make these peices so if i do start selling them they will cost at least 4-6 hunded a set, i could probably make a set evey 2 days, i mean hell a lambo door kit can cost 3 grand so a hand made dash cover and front bezel has gotta be worth a ton since no one really makes any thing for the 04's yet, i wish i had a shelled out 04 to make mockups on

Re: NEW 2004 Dash Design Suggestions

i wouldnt relocate the cluster to the center of the dash..if anything..i would buy a whole set of those circle individual guages and set those up instead..that would be cool...but i do know what i WOULD buy..if someone could fab up a fiberglass version of like the supra or talon or eclipse rap around dash for a cavalier i would buy one of those in a heart beat..i LOVE those dashes where everything faces you..the driver
