Hi! I am a newbie to this site and I am getting a head start on my Christmas shopping list. My husband is a Cobra fanatic and owns a 2004 Cobra convertible. He would like to have a programmer (?) to up the horsepower on this pony. I am not exactly sure what a good brand of this would be. I have searched the web for them and found some that run about $400. I am so not sure if this is the right thing and what is a good number when looking to add horsepower? Adding like 30hp doesn't seem like a lot. Should I be looking for a larger number? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: cobra programmers/superchargers?
Get a Diablosport Predator, he'll be happy with it.

Be very cautious with a programmer. The Diablosport Predator stock tune is horrible and doing any real tuning beyond the basics should be done on a dyno. You can get tunes online from running with the devil and Diablosport but be verry cautious with these too. A friend of mine with a Lightning got a tune from running with the devil and the engine blew because of a sudden temp change. The safest thing is still finding a shop you can trust and have them burn a chip specifically for the car.
