spark plugs and wire set

Hi friends... Just a quick question here. My '00 GT1 with 66,650 miles is running like a top; perfect. But I was wondering if it is worth while to put on a new AC Delco spark plug wire set. (preventative maintenance, I mean..)
Also, do you think the AC Rapid Fire plugs are as good as the Bosch plats ? Just wondering what you experienced people think, as I have had this car for only four months now and I have not done any work on it yet. (just an oil/filter change) Luckily, the car was kept immaculate so it doesn't really need anything yet; but I have a chance to pick up that plug wire set at a great price. That is why I am asking.
Could you tell me too please, is there anything I need to know before I do change the plugs and wire set ? I mean, is there any hidden obstacles...or anything I need to know about ?

I am assuming this is a V6 since it is a GT. Changing plugs and wires will help with fuel mileage but if the car is running alright then I wouldn't worry about it for 20 or 30K more miles. If you develop a misfire or fuel mileage starts to suffer then I would change them. As for the plugs, rapid fire won't hurt anything but won't change anything either but I would stay with AC platinums over the Bosch, but I have not had any luck with Bosch.

As for hidden problems you will have clearance issues on the back side. Try a universal and a lot of time otherwise you will have to rotate the motor forward to get to the plugs.

Hi GTP.. Many thanks.... Yikes, I was afraid to hear that access difficulty regarding the plugs, darn it all.... I've changed them tons of times on my previous car, but this will be the first for me on my GT1. Maybe I'll just have the Pontiac dealership change them when my car is in their shop for my new radio replacement. They're replacing my radio because of that famous volume control problem with many Delco radios.

I made a mistake in my post/question. I meant to compare the AC Plats; not the Rapid Fires.... to the Bosch's. I'll most likely get those AC Plats now; I think I recall reading nice comments about them. I will stick to AC, as I always used them in my previous 1987 Olds and it ran fine too. (until blowing all the timing stuff, lol...) (I drove it 18 years though, lol..)
