Distributor advance part???

hey guys! while i'm waiting for my valves to come in, i have another question. (91 3 cyl auto) while i was working to get the cylinder head off, during the process i broke something, and don't know what it is. there is a vacuum hose running from distributor to SOMETHING screwed into an intake manifold runner (cyl #1) right before cylinder head. anyway the plastic nipple that protrudes; this is where the vacuum hose connects. THIS PIECE BROKE OFF, so i need a replacement. but what in the hell is this thing threaded into manifold runner for distributor??? thanks guys

It is the vacuum advance for the distributor, on newer models is electronic on yours the advance is controled by the vacuum.
