if you can help

I Have A 97 Tiltmaster Truck With A 350 Chevy In It, Gas Is Not Getting To The Carb. Also Fuel Pump Is Not Working, So Took Off Inline Filter Hooked Up A Inline Fuel Pump Up, Still Would Not Start, But If You Pour Gas In The Carb It Will Run Til It Runs Out. Is Ther A Forum That You Guys Might Know Or Do You Guys Have A Ideal, Somthing Elect. I Payed 2000 And It Is Still Broke Down.

Re: if you can help

By placing a inline fuel pump you need to first find out what the vacuum is on the inlet of the fuel pump is. If your vacuum is to weak, Then your not going to get gas to the pump. I'll bet you put the pump under the hood. If thats the case. Try either relocating the pump right outside the fuel tank. Or get another pump the is designed to suck. . Just out of curiosity. Why don't you just change your original pump? That would work even better.

yes , throttle body, the truck broke down would not start, so I tilted the cab and could not smell gas, so I sprayed starting fluid in it started, but only as long as the spray lasted, so I had it towed, then a small garage riped everything apart, starting with fuel pump, new fuel pump, still won,t start 2 weeks go by they had all my wiring all riped out, seeing they did not have a clue I towed to a better shop. They said it,s like putting a mess back together. 40 hour in labor no parts, and it ran. So now 6 days later it,s back won,t start again. this time i,m at home, put gas in the throttle body carb. and it starts. so i looked for juice at the fuel pump, none 4 wires going to it, took a hot wire back there and could not hot wire the pump to start, also could not find a hot going to the pump in the 4 wire loop, so no hot going to tank, and could not hot the fuel pump, so inline about 6 feet away from carb where the inline filter is on the frame, gets gas 4 inches away from carb in the fuel psi check valve but still won,t start unless i put fuel in the carb, some how there is something shutting the juice down. I think

Re: Re: Re: if you can help

When you tried to look for your hot led on the 4 wires that go to the fuel pump. Did you have your ignition switch in the on position? If not try that. If you get power then you would have to say that your fuel pump is bad and that you should replace it.
