Mechanicccss suck. clutch question

hey, question for yall

i have a 98 gst.

im getting (got) a 2100 act clutch installed and resurfaced flywheel

its already in, but my mechanic is taking FOREVER to get it back to me

hes been messing with it for a week saying he cant get the pedal and the pressure right

he replaced the master cylinder and says the its still not right

"i drive it after i put fluid in it and it loses clutch"

the pressure is supposedly messing up, and he says hes bled it more than 3 times and put a ton of fluid through it bleeding it. he says hes adjusted the clutch by the pedals too. what could be the problem, cuz im getting extremely frustrated with him taking forever on my car.

Re: Mechanicccss suck. clutch question

could be the slave cylinder.....just a quick note, when my car CW'd my mech messed with the clutch adjustments, master and slave cylinders forever because after putting the new tranny, clutch and flywheel in he didn't know it CW'd yet. every time he would bleed it w/ the new master and slave, the pedal would go right to the floor. beside that, it could also be a couple other things. did you make sure the flywheel got resurfaced to the correct height? also could be a fork/ball problem that is messing around with the clutch. or maybe he just forgot to put the t/o bearing in when he put everything back together lol. or maybe for some reason it could be the dampner (brass looking thing bolted to the tranny). make sure he checks every hydraulic part dealing with the clutch, not just the master cylinder. and make sure he's using DOT 3 brake fluid, not pepsi or something, heh.

Re: Mechanicccss suck. clutch question

If it's physically losing fluid, it can only be a problem in the hydraulic system. That would be master, slave, and lines. I've had lines fail on my 95, so don't rule those out.
