mad ass audio system

i have a 1996 dodge neon. it has three S10X subs in it, with six KX2500.1 amps...the car originally came with pwr steering, and A/C. i took the A/C compressor off, and the pwr steering unit as well, just to free up some extra power, and make some room. does anyone know if there is any kit or know just how to do it, to put extra alternators on the car. i have one 300 amp already in the stock location. had to do some mod work to get it in there, case was bigger then allowed area, but it is in, and turning fine. charges BATCAP's well, but the car really needs some serious power...i'm running a full kicker system, with front mids running from a KX150.2, highs from a KX120.2, as well same set up in the rear. custom plates so could mount 6.75" mids in the rear. i listen to mainly just that when i want to listen to what i have built, it really drains the CAP's fast....too much power draw. too much system, yes i know....but any help would e greatly appreciated....

I have seen several vehicles with multi-alternator installs but I never really looked at how exactly they did it.

Re: mad ass audio system

I believe i've seen a triple alternator setup on a ford bronco before, but then again, it has more space than a dodge neon. The alternators were mounted on a metal braken. A single belt drove all 3 alternators. Unfortunately, I do not know of any manufactor that makes such things for a dodge neon. Go onto termpro.com and ask them. They are SPL oriented.

Re: mad ass audio system

it doesnt really matter how you do it as long as the belt is all in alignment, you could place the alternators where your a/c compressor and power steering was by fabing up a bracket, just make sure the pulley's are in alignment with the other pulleys or else you will end up spinning your belt off every time you try and start it or end up destroying the alternator/other pulleys from vibration.
