ey guys! i have a 31" tire mounted on a 2006 tacoma prerunner. don't wanna lift the truck for now for warranty reasons but i've noticed some rubbing when i do sharp turns. will that be no big deal for the frame of the truck?
thanks! |

Re: tire advice
no it should be fine, it will just leave wear marks. u could even ask the dealer if they would do a 2" lift or something of that nature.

Re: tire advice
I don't think wheel rubbing should be ignored, as a minimum it will rub the paint off the frame and you will have premature rust. How sure are you that the tires cannot get cut by some sharp part of the frame? It could damage your truck and it may create a safety hazard. My 2 cents.

Re: tire advice
Didn't that truck come with 31" tires? 265-70-16's right, and they rub? That doesn't sound right. Are they on aftermarket rims or something? Cause the stock tire size on stock rims should not rub, unless your doing something a little crazy.
