Question 2006 civic lx coupe price

Hey there everyone! Got a silly question, just looked at the new 2006 civic coupe lx and I must say it is a nice ride coming from a dodge dude (wife has a 91 civic si 3dr). I am interested in paying it in full and I am wondering if anyone has had experience in the past with buying a car outright with no financing, I would like to know how much below the asking price were you able to go? The one that I am looking at is 21k and I would be willing to hand over 19500ish, is it possible?

I have never done this before as I assume lots haven't either as financing is the usual route and that is where I think they get you because they know you don't have the money to pay outright.

Any tips and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!
SN

Welcome to AF and in regards to your question I would research the specific car you would like on Edmunds.com. That is a bit steap for that car. Also sure you can pay for a car in full with a bank check no problmes there saves your ass some money no intrest.

Re: Re: 2006 civic lx coupe price

Thanks for the welcome! I forgot to mention that I am in Canada so that is a canadian price, sorry guys

The salesman told me that the price for the lx is 21575, I think that I can get it for 19500 with cash, time will tell I guess.

Have a great one!!

Re: 2006 civic lx coupe price

We just bought a 06 LX and the Dealer came down $800 American for us... What we did is requested a price quote from 3 dealers in the area and then had 2 dealers trading deals. One finally came down to $700 and then we got our financing through our credit union and then we went to the same dealer with a out the door price of $18,200, tax, title and license. That brought the price down to $17,005.00
