No running lights or parking lights

I have a 96 lumina, checked the fuse box on the drivers side and found the horn and parking lights fuses rotted, the terminals stayed in the block , i dug the horn one out and now the horn works, however on the parking lights which seem to run the back running lights too, on of the terminals got shoved down, now i c hecked the voltage to that and it read 1.42v. i plugged the fuse in but the parking lights or back running lights will not work. The wiring on the backside of the block had alot of blue fuzzies on it. I am going to attemp to clean this up,since doing so on the horn side worked. Any help or advice would be nice, especially after i just dropped 1000 into it changing out a trannie and front suspesoin and tires. thanks

Sounds like you need to do some serious cleaning of corrosion on the fuse block. Until you have that fixed, any other advice is useless.

Re: No running lights or parking lights

hey went around the problem, cut the wire and put in a single fuse wiring block, spiced off from the hot and tied it in, since that was the hot for the horn too. well now its off to fixing the dead battery problem, thought i had a bad diode in the alternatator, killed a new battery, guess what, the guys didnt hook the alternator plug back in, little hard to keep the charg e up if thats not hooked.
