Lightbulb 92 s10 blazer 4.3v

92 blazer 4.3v
Hey, just found out that gap setting was .060 instead of .045. Can't always trust what you hear. Would this cause it to start hard and run poorly at slow speeds, sluggish to accl. but improve at interstate speeds.Let me know all the details so I can stop troubleshooting my problems. Ohh hard to start too.

Your gap should be at 0.45. I have a "94" and I'm running AC Delco's. My gap is 0.45 and I just bump the starter in the morning and she fires right up. The info you was readingis for actually the "95".s and up.

Re: 92 s10 blazer 4.3v

Do you have an emissions label on your radiator support? It will have the timing and plug gap info printer on it.

My 1993 4.3 “W” CPI motor is supposed to be set at .045 according to my emissions label. I too use AC-Delco plugs, and it starts right up.

What engine, other than 4.3, do you have? What is your 8th digital in your VIN, Z or W?

Re: 92 s10 blazer 4.3v

The only engine offered after 89 is the 4.3.

I'm asking if it is the TBI or CPI, hence the "8th" character in the VIN, W for CPI and Z for TBI. It is entirely possible that each could have a particular plug gap.

Yes it is a W or cpi, but won't know the diff. Label is missing, already changed the gap back. Would like to know if the TPS could cause this symptom and if so is there a way to check it? Would like to say thanks to all who's trying to get my wheels running like yours,ha ha, no chance mines a bug that just gets me to work.Used to work all the time on carbed cars just never kept up with the change so pretty much lost.Oh, no I wasn't around with the horse and bugy, not that old.
