DVD override sound/video cutoff on front video
I have a 807 Zenith which comes with a DVD player as standard. When the car is stationary by entering the 'menu' on the car computer you can enable video on the front information screen, as well as on the main DVD screen, as well as having sound come through the car stereo speakers (in addition to via infrared to the two headphones supplied).
My question is this - is it possible to overide the cutoff (which disables video and sound to the front screen) as this cuts in at about 5mph. I understand the dangers of and therefore don't require to keep the video switched on, but I would like to keep the audio coming through the car speakers - we have 4 children! and only two sets of headphones. any advice would be welcome........... regards Roddy |

Re: DVD override sound/video cutoff on front video
Hi Roddy
it is actually possible but no dealer in there right mind would do it because of the obvious distraction factor sorry sir but i guess you'll have to buy some more head phones :-) |

Thanks for your reply. I'd guessed it was possible (most things are) - the question is how!! Not sure that having the sound from the DVD playing through the car speakers is any more of a distraction than having the radio on!!?? Again, my requirement is for the sound from the DVD player to be heard - I'm not interested in having the picture available to the driver! (due to the distraction factor). regards Roddy |
