Code P0440 Evap Emission Ctll Malfunction
My 2000 Saturn 1.9L sohc SL shows code P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction. The car has about 102k miles with no other major symptoms.
Any suggestions as to where I might look? My mechanic abilities are modest at best. Thanks |

Your Evap system is where you fuel vapors are stored until they are used. A code like that could be caused by a leak somewhere. I dont know where its located at in your car but check the hoses and use a vacuum pump if you have one to see if its working right.

Re: Code P0440 Evap Emission Ctll Malfunction
a loose gas cap is the most common cause of a P0440
