Cutch

I also need to get a clutch soon. I am a student on a limited budget, what do you guys recommend as a good aftermarket performace clutch.

Well if you're looking for a performance one then centerforce is probably going to be your best bet. But if you just want a high quality replacement go with Luk, they're like $98 for the whole kit, it's about the best replacement clutch you can get, it's not a performance clutch though(I think it's supposed to hold like 6 psi more than stock, or maybe that was another one, I can't remember). They do make performance clutches but expect to pay out the wazoo for one.

if i don't let off in 3 of them it just keeps going.
The tranny will go before this clutch does.

Yeh i'm thinkin goin with the ACT extreme also. Well i'm starting to look at the centreforce clutch. Stage 2 feels like stock huh? Thats sounds good to me! Oh the stage 3 is good on certain applications but man that shit is so hard to drive. Its like you have to ride on ur clutch just so the car can't jerk so much.

i had a stage 3 centerforce in my sx....god......i ahve to of doubled the muscle in my left leg!

but i agree, it is a nice grabby clutch when racing, but everyday driving is a bitch, every time you go from a stop you have to slip the clutch alot to get a smooth takeoff, or else it jerks

I have an Exedy, but make sure you dont get the eBay stuff because all it is is a oem clutch with a organic disc made my dakin (Exedy) and they say its an Exedy clutch, what you need is a Exedy Racing clutch w/w an Organic Disc and its really good, i know a couple people on this board that have em and are very happy with them! It gives a 69% increase of pressure over stock and its a very good clutch, it chirps second gear and once broken in, traffic is not a problem!
