Got done with the fuel pump, AND three lines...from the dealer, cost on those- 42.00 for two steel lines and *gasp* 140.00 for the return hose that goes from top of tank to steel line- they were terribly rusted- 24 hours of getting sprayed with PB had no effect.
Get all done, a prayer and a twist of the key.........hard start.... Crawl under, double check, no leaks...Hmmm.... pressure gauge 59.......... figure what the heck, that Fram inline filter was installed 3000 miles ago, it MUST still be good. Do some online searching on filters and found Fram prone to failure, or internal parts restricting flow. Stick a new german made filter (also twice the price) and guess what....fired up instantly, also road test NO more of the hesitation that plagued the vehicle for...well....the last mmmmm, 3k miles. thanks for the help. I am worried about a few half arsed things I did- namely one of the strap bolts broke the nut inside the frame and started to spin around, not sure how many threads are holding the rear strap up- AND one of the threads for one of the bolts on the front strap came out, and went in buggered up, I stopped half way in so as not to snap that bolt....I'll be back I'm sure to work out that kink and a couple of others things I noticed crawling around under the 'stro today good site, thanks for the input. good oil filter study http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilters.html
