Re: need repair manual

Did you try Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble. Either may have one. As for the rear plugs you will either need to be double jointed or you will need to remove the dog bone mounts on the front of the engine and rotate it forward to get to them. A real PITA but usually the only way to access them easily.

i battled that chore earlier this week. very tuff but you can get to them without moving motor, just need small rachet and a universal socket, might want to go @ them from underneath car seemed easier. the spark plug by the o2 sensor is a real doozy, be patient.

Re: need repair manual

I think I saw a haynes or Chilton for a 1999/2000 Build/Pontiac or Chevy at Pepboys for under $15. Not exactly for our 2001 GP GT; it does cover the 3800 series II engine. Our 2001 GP can't be too different!

Re: need repair manual

I changed my plugs about two weeks ago, the dogbones are easy to remove and rocking the motor forward is pretty easy to do. Make sure it's in neutral, and push the car forward about 6 in to a foot and hit the parking brake. or you can try to grab the motor and pull it forward which is what I did. I u sed a tie strap to hold the motor in place while I go tto the plugs, and YES the plug by the O2 is a bia bia to get out.

I broke two wires during the process, so it might be a good idea to have an extra set JIC.

Re: need repair manual

do the hanes or chiltons exist for the 04'-05's yet? And if not(I don't believe they do), how long does it usually take for one to be published???
