Decals for a 1:18 diecast McLaren F1 GTR

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy decent quality decals for a 1:18 Mclaren F1 GTR ??

P.S. I have found a place at www.pattosplace.com.au but the quality of the decals are shocking.

Many thanks in advance.

Send a PM to these two guys using the links below and one of them should be able to help you out:

grundski

Thorst13

Plus there is always Ebay, but it is hit or miss on stuff like that.

1997 mclaren f1 gtr? and where can i get 1997 or 1998 team davidoff decals? preferably 1998, but i can make the 1997 ones work...

Maybe he doesn't want to share his secrets.

I'd be more interested in a good plan for raising the UT F1 road cars a few millimeters, as they sit far to low to be realistic.

blahst! why not share?

and as far as the roadcar being raised, i agree, its a little too low. but i think anyone who has a 1/18th 97 gtr by ut models will agree that they sit way to high...

I have no problems in sharing how to do it; I've been meaning to reply to my PM'S for a long time now. But the days are just too short nowadays.

To lower the model you must simply ruin its axels, cut them off and glue the wheels in the chassis. It's not rollable anymore after this is done so I do not recommend doing it if you do not have a lot of spare UT's as I have.

The F1 roadcar looks cool, but the GTR LT is completely wrong in stance.

The decals I used was made by a friend of mine who I've lost contact with over the last years and I've been checking out some decals at Ebay, but they’re not even close to the quality my friend used to make.

I'm currently into modding Ferrari's so my Macs. has been sleeping lately:-)

I would rather think about the missing brake calipters than the few millimeters wrong stance.

Weren't the UT models made prior to brake calipers really becoming a common site on 1/18ths? That's what I seem to recall, so even though they are missed I don't really fault UT for it.
