My Subs are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (help wiring?)

my subs finally came in over a week from when i ordered them

and so today im working, but tomorow im off and ill install it tomorow!

heres my amp (profile ap1200)

and now my subs (Pheonix gold R12D's)

so sexy...

ok got a question, on my box, how do i line up my template that came with the subs (for drilling holes) how do i center it over the hole that the sub goes in?

or should i just stick the sub in and mark the holes with a marker?

and i can just use drywall screws?

i currently have 5 gauge for power and either 8 or 9 gauge for ground, will it help if i use both the 8 and 9 gauge as my ground (stick both wires in the amp)??

I like your comforter. But something smells a little fishy.

Usually the power and ground wire should be the same gauge. I've never heard of having 2 grounds for 1 amp so I don't know if that would work. Remember to keep your grounds as short as possible.

Re: My Subs are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya my 8 is 3 ft, i have 4 feet of 9

the subs came with paper with the holes marked out, but ya it seems it would probly be easier to just put the subs in and drill

my sheets are awsome

Re: My Subs are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how do i wire them? there dvc, and do i have to solder? theres screws on the connections so i could just use ring terminals right?

and uhh how should i wire them?

from here

http://www.edesignaudio.com/wiring.php

under dual subwoofer systems do i use the first pic or the 2nd one?

its 200x2 at 4 and 300x2 at 2 ohms on my amp

the subs are 250rms so it would be better at 2 ohms right?

do i use the bridge connection or each sub for each channel?

for my leds, id wire them to the ground and the remote turn on right?

would i connect the positives and the negatives form each sub (the led + and -) in parallel? or should i do it seperate?

Re: My Subs are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i got my subs wired up in my box (took waaaaaaaay longer then i expected) and they work (only tested it with a hometheatre amp though)

tomorow i gotta bring my power cable and my base remote cable through to my trunk to see where the amp can mount, then i gotta mount that, and wire all them up

My dad happened to have 2 sony xplods (we think they are sony xplods, they have their own boxes, there around 6.5 inch or so) (ive known about those speakers but i didnt think they were any, uhh known brand)

and ya there not the best, bbut better than stock, how do i switch em out? just cut the wire onthe stock speakers? and connect to the new ones?

Re: My Subs are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the stock speakers just have a little plug that you unplug and the sony's should plug in. i know that Honda cars have speaker harnesses taht you may need to pick up from auto zone or something like that.
