lol no those were just pointer cones. NOW if you wanna talk this past weekend...when the civic went kamazi into a freakin wall of cones and took out 3 or so of them....those were actaully the first cones i think i've gotton all year lol...good to nail a few now and then

And yes...you learn insane car control. I've only been in it for 3 years and i can do things with my car that just scare me its hard to explain (two words: controled drifting)...but it makes you a much better driver which is the important thing.

I'm curious - what mods do you have on your car? Really I'm much more interested in autoX-ing than drag racing....

And why does he have two different numbers on each side of the car? I'd like to do auto-X. My grandad and my dad tried it a couple times in a little Shelby CSX if anyone knows what I'm talking about it was a dodge shadow two door with a turbo puttin out about 165 hp I believe. My dad got some pretty good times in it but I rode with him once and that thing had the worst understeer I'd ever seen in my life.

Talking lol ok i'll try to answer everyone

CRX586 & Bleebdat - If you guys wanna find rules I know if you goto www.SCCA.org and type "rules" into the search bar that will get you started. The EASIEST way is to goto a event and check with someone who knows the rules or has a SCCA rule book. I'd try to explain some but there are just sooooo many damn clases lol. If your car is stock..then go run a event now...see what other classes allow, then base your upgrades on that...if you've already upgraded...then go anyways you never know till you try. As for my car, its a STS (Street Touring - Street tire) car. You must run street tires no DOT legal race rubber or anything. However you can do anything to the suspenion long as it mounts in factory points, brakes can be modded as long as they don't change size (so you can buy lines, stock size slotted drilled rotors, etc) and for the motor you can do I/H/E and ECU thats really about all. Some other little rules in STS but thats it in a nutshell. Good class for civics. My mods are as follows...

Suspension:
Tockio illumia adjustable shocks
Eibach prokit springs (little over 1' drop)
Polyurathane bushings (just about everywhere in the suspension)
Neuspeed rear sway bar (22mm)
Neuspeed front strut bar
15' VW steelie wheels (as you can see in the photos)
195/50 R15 sumitomo HTZ tires
toe 1/16 out front - 1/16 in rear

Brakes:
Bremo OEM rotors
Axxis metalmaster pads
Goodridge lines
Dot 4 ATE Super blue brake fluid
Rebuilt rear drums

Engine: (need to work on this one lol)
AEM short ram intake
Magnacore wires (8.5mm???)
Focuz Axle back exhaust
Comming soon:
A header of some sort in like 2 weeks lol, and a few months after that a REAL catback system (com'on thermal) MAYBE Jet ECU I dunno.

Eric: The vids didn't work for me However I loved all the other gallaries of pics, i didn't know you redid your page like that, its pretty damn nice! Your forgivin this time...since your civic of the month and all

red4thgencivic: I could be wrong...but isn't that the civic that defeated a whole field of Suby 2.5RS's last year to win STS at nationals? When no one said a civic could do it this 89 Si showed up and beat almost a entire field of AWD torque monsters lol...something to think about really its impressive. I think the next closest honda was almost 10 spots back, the closest FWD car was a neon in 6th maybe? Can't remeber but it really shocked alot of people....I drive a Si i'm not surpised There might have been 2 drivers for the same car (hence the different #'s its common place really)

BTW...tell him to throw some good tires on that old turbo shelby...NEVER sleep with one of cars next to you at a light or even in turns...biggest factory sleepers ever lol.

Daylight: What in the hell are you doing online? Its almost sunday...go fix your bustin ass JDM front end...or steal your womans car...and go racing damnit :finger: lol just kiddin with ya :flash:

habib_88, thanks for the info! I'll definitely have to look into this more...

Your setup sounds very similar to what I'm going for. How do you like the Prokits? These are the springs I plan on getting, as well as the bushings (Energy Suspension), sway bars, etc...

HABIB!

i've been looking for you :apoke: *HINT* trying going online while normal people are still awake !

let's talk exhausts. you still have that Focus one? how does it sound? sometime between the water in the gas tank and one of the blown head gaskets that my car started to sound like garbage. i'm not sure if my exhaust just plain went bad on me...or maybe the cat rusted out??? i dunno. but the car is getting hella loud and ugly sounding

what is the exhaust wise-grasshopper is going with? :evillaugh
