won't start

have a 92 PA, security code light stays solid w/switch in on position, ran code, no codes present, battery & starter ck'd good f rom shop's tester, tried to start by jumping solenoid it would start then dies immediately...could this be an ignition switch problem or more involved?

Vats key chip type?, Try leaving the key on for 10 minutes, then shut off and restart, could be the wires from the ign key cyl to the connector at the lower column, they can break coming out of the key cyl. Try a second key possible.
