'89 Bronco II 2.9 Starts hard when cold

My buddy has an '89 Bronco II with a 2.9L that has a terrible time starting when it's cold but starts instantly and runs like a gorilla when it's warm.

The hard start began two days after replacing the fuel pressure regulator (when I went to check fuel pressure, gas was coming out of the vacuum line and prior to replacing the fuel pressure regulator it had a VERY strong gas smell immediately after starting).

We've also replaced the Air Bypass Valve, the MAP sensor, Temp Sens Switch, and the ACT (Air Charge Temp) sensor and, like I said, it runs GREAT when it's warm but still has the Hard Start when Cold problem.

Oh, can anyone tell me which vacuum line goes where on the air filter housing? Does the front or back port go to the heat valve?

Any help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
George
