Aux inputs and stereo inputs on Grand Am 2001 se

I am looking to hard wire my ipod to my stock stero in my 2001 Grand Am. I was wondering if the Aux inputs are RCA's and if not what kind of input is it. I was also wanting to know how to remove the my stereo. If anyone has done this pease let me know. Thanks

Re: Aux inputs and stereo inputs on Grand Am 2001 se

I've seen things for this somewhere... If I come across the link again ill be sure to put it up. On some new radios they have the option to include aux... But if you have a cassett player you could always go that alt. route as I am with my CD Player till xmas har

Hey, I believe to the best of my recolection that the aux is supposed to be a RCA. If your looking for hooking up your Ipod to the aux input then you need to try the Dual IP35 iplug. I just put one in my Grand Am for my Ipod. The only difference would be is that I have an aftermarket head unit with aux RCAs. Heres a website for ya man. http://www.audio-discounters.com/ip35.html It would be worth checking out for sure man. Mine seems to be working great. The only reason I got it was because I got sick of doin the stupid radio station crap. Hope this helps man!!

I knew I saw one somewhere...

PAC iPod Connection Interface
Sorta expensive, but I hope this helps.
