Downstream O2 sensor bypass

I used the diagram from here: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/O2bypass.html
I followed it exactly, I had my electronics professor look at it, and he said it was done right.

Any suggestions? The ceramic resister is getting exreamly hot, I have a CEL(check engine light) and the car seems to be missing at idle, thats about it. HELP!

Here is a pic of my actuall circuit:

Re: Downstream O2 sensor bypass

All the rear O2 does is check cat efficiency. It will give you a code with a datalogger but does not set a CEL. It doesn't change the way the car runs.
