Angry Wont start

Anyone out there please help!!! I have a 92 Bonneville SE. I was having a problem starting it at first. I could start it by turning the key off and on 3 times then start it, but now it just turns over and won't start. The floor boards on the drivers side front and rear had a puddle in it from the last rain, thats when I noticed the problem starting...always cranked right up before..Everything seems to be working Ie...windows, mirrors, seat...can hear fuel pump kick on. car has 120,000 miles. Did the paperclip in AB slot and got a 17 and 57 code. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!! It is an SE, also when it finally did start it ran fine and started everytime after that all day just hard to start first time..

Re: Wont start

Do you have spark, any fuel pressure in the rail, spray carb cleaner into the intake see if it starts, all basics here. BTW, there is harness connector and/or ground under that area of the carpet, may not be related but check it anyway.

mine also had trouble starting...check the starter, also check the battery...believe it or not, if the positive or negative cable isn't connected tightly then it won't start. This cable should not be able to move at all...

Re: Wont start

I checked several lists for obd-1 codes on-line and they all skip codes 17 and 57. When I get home, I'll check my book and post what those codes are.
