Electical Problem

On my 2001 I just started to notice the dash lights and headlights starting to go dim then bright, there is also a drop in the voltage when this happens, Only seems to happen when accelerating. any ideas as to where to look? Thanks

Check the alternator drive belt. Could possibly be streched out enough so that the tensioner is not able to maintain a tight belt under load.

I have a very similar problem with my 2001. I haven't looked for a voltage drop. Mine seems to stop the cycle of going dim then bright after driving several miles. Have you found the problem with yours?

Good Day.
I had the car into the dealer 3 times and they seem to have found the problem. First they told me that it was the ignition switch which was replaced, Still had the problem the next day. took it back this time they changed the dash modual, Same problem agian the next day, Third time in I told them that I had a message pop up telling me to check the electrical system. This time they changed the alternator. Seems ok now. All of this was done under warranty. I suspect they spent close to $2000.00.
PS your problem was the exact same as mine, with problem going away after a few miles.
