Good to see you back in the forum and that you survived the hurricane(s) without a lot of damage.

Sorry to hear about your Dad's place on the gulf, you'll have to find somewhere else to drink those beers!

BTW, I read this in the Trooper forum, what do you think about it?

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=465061

It's a 2 page thread. I'd hate to think shoddy engine assembly is causing high oil usage in some of the Isuzu engines.

Cheers,
Dale

Re: I am back

we dont do any engine dissasembly here I think Isuzu knows there is a problem they usually tell us replace the engine
as for the additives never tried them
I dont have this problem with my 96 trooper which I am selling cause my wife wants a more economical vehicle
I am keeping the FORD F-150 hell it gets 22 mpg with the 4.6L v-8 the trooper only 16 mpg and the truck can do more for me than the trooper
I dont think the truck will make it to 306,000 miles as the trooper but who know I may be the one to find out here is something that really sucks I have had the new truck for 2 months now its been at the body shop for one of those two months the day after I drooped the first payment in the mail I was rearended bysomeone not paying attention to the road 6,500 in damages I should be getting it back tomorrow oh and the stupid 06 shitvrolet is just that man that thing is so damed uncomfortable and fuel economy there is nothing economical about it my truck has a 30 cell I get like 600 + miles to a tank the chevy with the 26 gal. tank has the smaller v-8 in it gets 340 miles to a tank what a rip off GM needs to get it together

Yes! Yes! Yes! Welcome back! You have been gone too long. I was afraid we'd never hear from you again. When you get a chance, please look at a post called "ABS Technical Question 98+". I bet you could answer it in seconds. Nobody else has taken a shot at it.

Again, glad to have you back! Please don't ever leave again.
