problem starting

My 01 Grand Am is having a problem starting. I tried resetting the Passlock security system but that was a temporary fix. Now, it seems to not want to start everytime I get in the car. It turns over but doesn't catch right away. Can I turn off the security system? I really can't pay to get it fixed and any help is appreciated.

What car/, what security system, does it crank and not start, no crank, to say the least you have given very little info to work with.
