Back Hatch Doors Shock Lifters need to be replaced on 96LS4x42DR.

After ten years the lifters will not operate. I known others who have complained about this to GM and they say 36 months 36000 miles..
over that, its your problem. I priced them they were very expensive
with labor. Anyone else had problems or a solution add it here.

How about replacing them yourself, They are not hard to do at all. Think of the labor money you will save.

I found out 2 cost $48 dollars tax included. I took off the old ones
and cleaned the boots and seals and replaced it. It worked okay for a few days.
It doesn't stick in the wintertime only in the warm weather.
I will have to replace them next spring.
