zc ecu?

i got an 89 civic si with a dohc zc. I still have the stock si ecu and i wanted to upgrade to a better ecu. I heard the 88-89 teg ecu's work pretty good..but getting a zc ecu would be better apparently. any feedback on this would be great. also..how much of a hp gain could i expect by upgrading to a teg/zc ecu?? thanks

Re: zc ecu?

PM6 (Si) ecu is probably better than 88-89 integra or more or less the same. ZC ecu is PM7... pretty hard to find. PR4 for 90-93 B18a will make it run pig rich...

Re: zc ecu?

Well, look at it this way... the PM6 ecu is limited to 7200rpms but with mods can make power all the way to its limit and is used on a sohc 1.6 to make 108hp stock. The 88-89 integra ecu has about the same redline with a dohc 1.6 that makes the same amount of power as the sohc using the PM6.

Re: zc ecu?

The PG7 88-89 integra ECU is the next step up... Better fuel maps... But yes, itll run a tad rich, this is fine tho... Better too rich, than too lean... And the PM6 is a tad on the lean side for the DOHC ZC...

Re: zc ecu?

dont expect major gain with the pg7 but you will notice the difference. the pg7 has a more agresive fuel map and your car will pull a little longer in high rpm. 3rd gear will feel much better.
