buying a 94 gand Marquis LS anything to look for?

hey gang,

as title states. i found one that I can get a killer deal on, already drove it and its runs tits, shifts tits. interior is very poor. already found a complete carpet kit for it. paint is clean but I'm going to paint it flat black. that includes any trim.

What I would like to know is: is there or are there any issues I should be looking out for before I buy? any advice will be welcome. thanks!

oh yeah, any good after market products/ shops that deal with this car? having problems locating anything.

Other then leaky air rides or crappy saggin rear springs there really isnt much the normally goes wrong with these cars besides the headlights going yellow from fade and the wire going to the OD button on the gear shifter is known to break, not that any of that is a big deal to repair.

I have a 94 GM LS with 165K miles on it. Its been a good car for me. I just replaced all 4 balljoints and tie rods. My car has air suspension and I had to replace the air pump at 100k Miles for about $400. Make sure the emergency brakes work, they are in a location where the back axle has to be removed to repair the pads. My engine has always used oil and when the car got about 100K on it the consumption increased to a qt every 800 miles. I am able to bring that up to every 1500 miles if I add 1 qt of Lucas oil stabilizer to the engine. This is normal for the 94 4.6L. My air conditioner is still running, no trans problems, to rust problems, still has original shocks, starter, rad, water pump, battery, heater core, fuel pump etc. Fuel mileage is pretty good to.

Are you sure that you have original battery.
