Re: alternator or what

im quite sure the voltage regulator is built into the alternator, your battery could be bad or something is putting a constant drain on the battery. Do you have a volt meter? What is it charging at now?

Re: alternator or what

in 1991, Jeep finally conformed to Chrysler electronics, so therefore your voltage regulator is housed inside of the PCM, or engine computer. If it's bad, you'll have to replace the PCM.
