Best way to clean evaporator core
The evaporator core on my '93 is pretty dirty and partially clogged as far as air flow goes. I'd like to clean it up and get better air flow through the vents as right now the air flow is pretty crappy on the lower blower settings. What's the best way to clean it without taking it out of the car (which is a huge pain), what solvents/cleaners work best?

Here's how I cleaned mine: I took the dash apart, took the heater box apart and removed all the duct work, take pictures so you can get it back together right, and use a shop vac to suck all the crap out. Using solvents can cause the drains to get clogged, resulting in any water getting in there from the ac or rain to pour into your car instead of out the drain.

Re: Best way to clean evaporator core
Try this, it is supposed to clean the evaporator without having to remove anything.
