problem

I put a edelbrock performer carb and maniflod on my car, now my hood wont shut. I dont have money to change the hood, anyone know where I can get a scoop? I dont want anything really big, something kinda like a shaker scoop.

Is it the carb itself thats hitting the hood or the air cleaner? If your running a spacer under the carb you can drop it down some there, if nothing else you can get air cleaners that sit lower on the carb. The bottom plate of the air cleaner wraps over the carb to allow the filter element to sit lower on the carb. Or run a low profile air cleaner.

No idea where to get a scoop, maybe try JC Whitney.

A lot of them look stupid, but there's a few good ones. The one at the top of page 3 is pretty nice and is only about $85.
