when does it leak? just sitting? driving in rain, etc?

my first thought might be checking the spoiler (if equipped), you also may want to get in the trunk with a flashlight and have someone hose down everything including the back glass, until something shows up.

noticed it after a long trip (Florida to NJ) and it had rained almost the whole trip, other than that i've never noticed the leak. No spoiler so i'm thinking it the weather strip
