Question Tensioner Pulley

Hello all, I'm new to this whole forum! I figured other owners could help me out better than my local dealership. Here's my issue: My 2000 Grand Am GT destroyed it's tensioner pulley. By destroy, I mean the center of the pulley seized and the plastic part had a melt down. So my question is, does anyone have a blow-up schematic of how the pulley goes on? I believe the little metal "bump" on one side should line up with a hole in the block, correct? I'd appreciate ANY help I can get! Thanks all....and maybe I'll be able to help someone else out in the near future!

Re: Tensioner Pulley

i posted on ur other post 2000redGT.Dont quite know exactly what ur asking, but the tensioner turns with a 3/8 drive breaker bar in the square hole(turn counterclockwise to loosen the belt). To remove the tensioner, the bolt in the center of the idler , up above the squarehole, is how its removed. I beleive its a metric bolt, 12 or 13mm.

It was originally posted in the Grand Prix forum and GTPDad moved it to where it belonged.

Thanks GTPDad.
