Governor

Hello.
is there anywya to modify the governor so i can go faster than 107 than actually buying a chip? any easy "snip-snip" ways?

Have the PCM reprogrammed to increase the governor level. There are several sites on the web where you can send the PCM to have it reprogrammed for you. And by the way, don't snip snip anything unless you want real problems.

don't suppose you could share a couple of these sites with us? I might actually think about getting mine reprogrammed when I get some tires with a higher speed rating

Try ZZPerformance.com for starters. They have reprogrammed PCM's for your cars. They also have a reprogrammer that you can use with a laptop computer.

the must have bumped the governor up on the 04s', I've had mine up to 130 and it still hadn't shut off...

The GTP allows you to go faster because were aspirated. Our stock cars shut off at 126 mph. The CompG shuts down at 140mph. (I think)

I have seen 138 on another site and I would say that is probably right...
