Heater not working
I have a 1995 3.8 Trans Sport, all the sudden the front heater won't work, the back one works though
I checked the fuse and its fine, any suggestions? |

If you're talking about the heater fan not working, you might try tapping on the fan motor to see if it starts up. I just changed the heater fan on a 93 transsport and it was about a 10 minute job. I don't know if the 95 is the same, but it was all easily accessable from under the hood.

www.avigex.ca/xport/heater.jpg www.avigex.ca/xport/heaterrelay.jpg www.avigex.ca/xport/blowercloseup.jpg and all of this if you like www.avigex.ca/xport YOu can test the blower motor itself by disconnecting the plug at the motor and feeding 12v direct with a pair of wires. If you end up having to change the blower motor, there are 2 types: pressed on fan and bolted on fan. However, if you go to the salvage yard, you can buy the whole unit, motor and fan, and it does not matter which type you use then. BTW, this blower unit is common to oldsmobile, buicks, and bonneville of those years.
