Re: what would you get?

Borla cause its the best. More expensive but well worth it.
Flowmasters = blowmasters

SLP Loudmouth, a guy I know had it on a 94 Z, and I loved it.

Re: what would you get?

LOL j/k... just wanted to post that I'd say look at www.ls1sounds.com for whatever LT1 files you can. I ended up going with a cutout instead(basically just dumps before the muffler... only $30 too) and sounds great.

Re: what would you get?

If I was going to go with a different exhaust I'd say go with the SLP loudmouth. I haven't heard one on a LT1, but they sound mean on a LS1.

Xenostalgia there is nothing wrong with flowmaster mufflers. I would take one over a borla system any day of the week. You can get any muffler to match your needs. The older I get the more I want quite sounding mufflers until you have your foot in it. If you want a really loud car get put dual exhaust all the way from the header back and use flowmaster original 40 series on it. My dad but those on his 409.

Except for the fact that they flow at the bottom of the barrel. The only thing they have going for them is they tend to sound okay. Not on the later model Camaro's though.

I would go with anything but SLP or Flowmaster. Blowmasters don't flow, and SLP would rather tell you to fuck off than help you with a problem.
Magnaflow would be a good choice.

Re: what would you get?

im torn between magnaflow/flowmaster or just getting a cutout. But then should I get just a regular cutout or invest in a electronic cutout. SO MANY CHOICES..........I CANT TAKE IT!!!

so thats why I havent done anything with my exhaust for the past few months......its got a flowmaster mufler on there now but it their realy quiet series muffler. But it sounds ok(for a quiet muffler) and isnt over bearing. Thats what leans me toward the cutout. That way I can go loud and then very easily go into stealth mode(for those early morning when i need to sneak into the house......So anyways I just wanted to share that with you all.....in case someone was wondering.....

Re: what would you get?

a hole that you can put in your exhaust pipe that you can cap off. Goes before the muffler and sometimes before the cats. go to jegs.com and search for it and youll see a picture of one.

......www.jegs.com search for cut out look at a picture. That goes inline with your exhaust pipe.
