Dealers 2005 inventory

Does anybody know how long dealers off all kinds get rid of their 2005 inventory? I am waiting until the last minute hoping to get a good deal. But how long do they keep it really? Where do they ship them? Are their still 2005's left in January of 2006? thanks chatty

Re: Dealers 2005 inventory

January can be a good time to pick up last year's model, but the dealer may have to do some searching to find the vehicle you're after, and have it shipped. Shop around though and you should be good to go.

Waiting is good, though you may not get all the bells and whistles you'd like.

Don't forget that the last day of the month is always a good time too. Dealers/salespeople trying to make quotas...

Yeah; I never figured out why dealerships don't change their "month" to be a mystery....maybe they already have, to give the illusion of "end of month".....

One of the reasons is that most Accounting/Business programs are organized to use the "month" as the time dividing line. Most programs will allow you to choose a different fiscal year instead of the calendar year but "months" seem to be fixed. Working outside these standard parameters would cause lots of work and confusion for both the dealership and the car maker.

Re: Dealers 2005 inventory

Guess so; but I'm sure there's some slick marketing/sales guy out there that is working on it....

BUT...hooray for us, we can take advantage of end-of-month quotas!
