key broke in ignition
I have a 1997 geo metro 2 door hatch with 3 banger. My front half of the key broke int he igniton.
WHen I put the back half of the key in the igniton it does turn over. YES I could leave it at that but I want to use a whole key. Does the igniton come out easily, the plastic molding ect. thanks in advance |

Re: key broke in ignition
you have to take the 2 nuts off underneath that hold the column up then remove the plastic covers. the bolts that hold the ignition in have no neads so you have to either slot them with a hacksaw or take the out with punch and hammer to unscrew them. might be easier to just go to a locksmith, sometimes they can get it out without removing the lock
