Question Installation of throttle body.

I just got a code 7 the other day for a bad throttle position sensor, so I am planning on replacing the entire throttle body. Does anyone know how difficult it is to do? Any crucial steps I will need to know about? Thanks in advance!

Re: Installation of throttle body.

you know you could just replace it with another dpfi tps sensor right ?

its alittle bit harder than a mpfi tb change cause if i recall the injectors are on the tb so you need to take them off. idk just take off whatever needs to be taken off

Re: Installation of throttle body.

Well I was going to just replace the tps sensor but then I found a throttle body for 70 bucks. So how difficult is it to install the throttle body?

For 70 bucks you can buy a MPFI manifold with throttle body, just find another DX TPS at a junk yard and cut grooves into the screw holes and swap it over to yours. It should not cost more than $10.

Re: Installation of throttle body.

its screwed on so you need to make slices in the screw and unscrew it. it doesnt look like screw, it looks like rivets or something but its screwed on
